The Big One...

This is me holding a 4 ft Gopher snake that I caught while on a dirt rode.

Having Fun With Reptiles

Two years ago I caught a baby black racer in my yard in Florida. It was 8 inches long and about a month old. Baby black racers are very quick and agile. When they are young they will eat crickets, baby lizards, dragon flies, and tree frogs. When they are full grown they will eat lizards, frogs, dragon flies, fish, and mice. When I caught the snake he bit me like a 1000 times and turned my hand into a mess of scars. The first time I grabbed him he struck at my hand and scared the living day lights out of me because he was so fast. That is why you should never ever try to catch a snake if you never had experience with one. Have fun catching reptiles!

A Rare Find

In Florida, a few years back I was looking for worms under rocks when I found a rare find. You would think this was a snake. If you did you are wrong. This is an Eastern Glass lizard. If you were with me you would know because snakes have a forked tongue and this lizard does not. This lizard will lay up to 15 eggs in the wild but in captivity it will only lay probaby 13 eggs max. They live in Florida all the way to Kentucky. This lizard looks slow but you have to run fast and be quick if you want to catch one. I think God has created the most amazing animals that I could ever think of.
